This is a concept design of a cover and cover story spread of a magazine. It was made for a Media Design class and is based on my ideas for a redesign of a campus publication called "NU Asian", the Asian and Asian-American interest magazine. The identity is repurposed as "nuAZN" with a broader goal of celebrating young and global Asian culture. It takes an edgier, more rebellious and artsy tone and aesthetic to appeal to the millennial generation of Asians in America. The cover image is original photography and I sought to appeal to the duality of cultural identity young Asians struggle with and that the publication hopes for them to embrace.
